Orthopedic surgeon Daniel Kalbac, director of the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center (OSMC) of Miami, Florida, saw a need and moved to fill it. He opened an after-hours urgent care center to diagnose and treat sports related injuries. Injured athletes can now bypass urgent care centers or hospital ERs and go directly to a sports specialist.

“We have created a one of a kind, sports-specific after hours/urgent care center to diagnose and treat sports related injuries, ” Kalbac, who is board certified, told writer Lee Stephens. He said that All Sports Urgent Care will offer the same quality orthopedic and sports medical care that his multi-disciplinary team at OSMC are known for, including diagnostic X-rays and ultrasound, splinting, casting, injections, and suturing, physical therapy and MRI, all in their centrally located office in South Miami.

The center opened December 1, 2015 and after hours care is available weekdays until 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. The staff accepts most insurance carriers.
